Publish a Lecture Note
Each Lecture Note is an overview of an important research or development topic, authored by an expert contributor to the field. A lecture notes is similar to a book but focusing on a much specific topic. The position of a lecture note is between a book and a journal paper. Each lecture note should have a minimum of 50 pages and maximum of 200 pages based on our predefined template. If your lecture note has more than 250 pages, you should consider splitting your lecture note to different volumes.
No publication fee will be involved and hence subscription fees is required to access the Lecture Notes. Two kinds of subscription is available: personal subscription and institutional subscription. Details of the subscription will be available soon.
Contribute to a Book
Authors interested in publishing their research in one of our books are welcome to submit their work to us for consideration.
Our books are published as fully searchable e-books and as high-quality printed books. All printed books are printed on premium quality paper, and the contents of most books are in full color. We definitely offer the best of both worlds..
Our books cover original research. They are collections of reviewed scholarly contributions usually written by multiple authors and are edited by scholars with related expertise. Each scholarly contribution represents one chapter, and each chapter is complete but is related to the overarching topics and objectives of the book. The books are addressed to practicing professionals and researchers, professionals in the academia, former researchers and Ph.D. students, and other specialists.
The book format is different in scope and in length from the journal format. In addition, the book publishing process has to adhere to strict publishing deadlines. Thus, we have developed a strict review process without compromising the quality of our publications, as follows:
All books are available as open access after 6 months when it is first published. Open Access publishing means that publications are available to the public online for free. But open access publishing is not without costs. As an social enterprise, this site requests authors and their funding bodies to pay the publication fee. With their contribution and willingness to share their expert knowledge within our community, authors enable the free distribution of scholarly literature. The current publication fee is: USD$39/page for the first 16 pages and USD$19/page thereafter.

At this site, we have two kinds of journals: Pocket Journals and Regular Journals
What is a Pocket Journal?
Pocket journal is a new concept in the academe. It discusses the major ideas/frameworks of models or recent developments in some areas, but does not require detailed or formal experiments. The papers can be viewed as experimental papers (but not newsletters). For example, a paper may: propose a new research direction, announce an innovative design/model, review/survey some papers/books/conferences, extend/expand a published paper (provided that both the published paper and the extended/expanded version are written by the same or similar set of authors), define a new problem (without a concrete solution) hoping for solving it by collective wisdom, etc. All work for the pocket journal must contain the following:
- Solid motivations, i.e. why the problems are important
- A detailed discussion on the major challenges, i.e., why existing work has not been able to solve them
What is a Regular Journal?
A regular journal has the same concept as the currently existing journals in the academe. Regular journal papers discuss specific topics in great detail. Usually, for a regular journal paper, a large volume of experiments (which should be replicable) are involved and detailed discussion is necessary.
Based on their field of research, authors can choose the journal that best suits their interests and submit their work for review and publication.
